Associating Profiles to Nodes
You can add an agent to the agent list in the Operation tab by the one of the
following methods:
• Add Agent directly from the HPOV/PC SNMPc Map
• Add Agent dialog box.
The Add from Map method is preferred because the Community, Timeout, and
Retries of the SNMP node are obtained automatically from the map. This is faster
and more accurate since there is no need for you to define them.
To add an agent from the map to the list in the Operation tab:
1. Click <Add from Map>.
The Add Agent from Map dialog box appears (see Figure 4-26). As
RADview polls all the agents, it lists it on the dialog box. When it finished,
the status bar at the bottom of the screen says Ready.
2. Highlight the Name–IP Address–Product of the SNMP node to be added.
3. Press <Apply>.
The SNMP node is added to the list in the Operation tab.
The Node Name column in Operation tab displays the Node Name as it was, when
Add from Map was performed (for HPOV, Selection Name). If afterwards user
changes the Selection Name/Node Name of this node in the map, the Node name
in SWDL application will NOT be updated (implementation problems).
