Chapter 1
Introduction
This chapter provides a general introduction to RADview-HPOV for ATM
Applications, which is used for managing the ATM family of products.
1.1 RADview-HPOV for ATM Applications – Overview
Supported Products
RADview-HPOV for ATM Applications provides network management for ACE-50,
ACE-101, ACE-202 and ACE-2002/2002E.
ACE-50 is a manageable demarcation point between private and public
high-speed access lines.
ACE-101 can be used as an ATM NTU (Network Termination Unit) for native ATM
or as a Multiservice Access Concentrator (MSAC). Located at the customer
premises, it can be controlled by an ATM service provider, or it can be used as
part of a corporate ATM-based WAN.
ACE-202 is a Multiservice Access Concentrator and a Network Termination Unit
(NTU) for public and private ATM networks.
ACE-2002/2002E is a Multiservice Access Concentrator (MSAC) that can be used
as a carrier-owned demarcation device or as a corporate concentrator connected
to the public ATM network.
