RADview-HPOV/ATM User’s Manual Chapter 4 RADview-HPOV System Functions
Backup, Restore and Undo Last Restore Utilities 4-3
The user should adhere to the following rules to ensure error-free restoration of
backed up items:
• Hierarchy Level: A WAN item may only be restored to the same hierarchy
level from which it was originally backed up. For example, if a WAN agent
was originally backed up from a WAN Submap, the user can only restore that
WAN agent to a WAN Submap level
• Changing WAN Item Names: Before restoring a WAN item, the user may
change its name. However, an identical name for more than one item within
the same map hierarchy is not allowed (even over different item types or
hierarchy levels). If the restoration is stopped because of a selection name
(WAN item name) error, check to see if the desired name already exists on
the WAN item selection name list.
To restore a map to its backed up filename:
1. From the Misc menu, select RADview/OV > General > Restore.
The Restore File Name dialog box appears.
