License Size Calculations

To determine the license size required to manage a given network, perform the

following calculation:

Number of License points (for each type) = (Product type ENW) x (Number

elements of this type).

When your network consists of different product types, total the Number of

license points for all product types.

However, since a particular size of license points is bundled within every RADview

package, the actual license size that must is required is smaller, and can be

calculated as follows:

Required License points =

Total Number of Licenses points (for all types) − RADview package bundled

license

Calculation Example

Let’s assume a network to be managed by RADview PC consists of:

• Two DXC-8R unit

• Twenty FCD-E1L units

• Four FCD-IP devices.

Consulting the above product ENW table, we find that:

• DXC-8R = 60 ENW

• FCD-E1L = 5 ENW

• FCD-IP = 10 ENW
