Frame Relay DLCI Parameters

DLCI 16 to 991 Specifies the DLCI number

Specifies the DLCI state

CIR The value of this parameter is

obtained from the Frame

Relay provider.

Specifies the maximum amount of data (in bits) which

the network guarantees to transfer during the

measurement interval (the measurement interval is

usually one second)

Excess The value of this parameter

should be received from the

Frame Relay provider.

Specifies the maximum amount of uncommitted data

bits that the network will attempt to deliver during the

measurement interval

Throughput Specifies the average number of data bits per second

transferred by the network. When a measurement

interval of one second is assigned to the CIR, the

throughput value should equal the CIR value.
